Families,

Due to the generous support of our MCB community and many local businesses, we have been able to purchase new scoreboards on all our fields over the past two seasons. New scoreboards were installed last spring for AAA, Foley, and Major Fields. Last month, new scoreboards were installed on AA, Southern, International and Coastal Fields along with upgrading the existing scoreboards with new modules.

Each of the seven scoreboards still uses the SingleScore App; however, the new modules in each of our scoreboards are NOT compatible with older versions of the App. PLEASE DELETE THE EXISTING SINGLESCORE APP FROM YOUR SMARTPHONE AND REINSTALL THE UPDATED VERSION OF THE APP, which you can find in both the Apple and Android app stores. While you may be able to connect to the scoreboards with the old App, it may not function properly and is not good for the scoreboards in the long term. The updated version of the App will allow you to connect to each of the seven new scoreboards’ cell modules which replace the outdated Bluetooth versions. 

The upgraded cell modules in each scoreboard operate on a cellular network, thus improving the range to approximately 1500 feet from the center of the park. This will alleviate the need to remain near the deer stand on each field when scoring a game. Additionally, PLEASE DISCONNECT FROM THE SCOREBOARD AT THE COMPLETION OF YOUR GAME; otherwise, the next game will not be able to properly connect to the scoreboard to score a game.

We have placed instruction signs, an example of which is below, on the visitor side of each field for your reference.
