Each fall, Murphey Candler provides an excellent experience for approximately 700 youth across nine leagues, based on age. Our seven baseball diamonds will host games or practices each weekend. In addition to the regular leagues, Murphey Candler Baseball provides our Frontier League program in the fall. Murphey Candler Fall Baseball Registration opened June 1, 2022, for Brookhaven residents and will open June 11, 2022, for players outside of the City of Brookhaven. Registration will continue through July 31, 2022. Starting August 1, 2022, a $50 late registration fee will be added to the regular registration fees. We typically fill one or more of our leagues before the late registration date. Registrations will be waitlisted once a league is full.
Fall Baseball at Murphey Candler is a weekend activity, with all events at Murphey Candler Park. Teams practice or play on Saturdays and Sunday afternoons. Southern League is a Sunday-only event. Times for both practices and games will vary from week to week, with Saturday events scheduled between 9 am-8 pm and Sunday events scheduled between 11:30 am-8 pm. The fall program is a great chance for players to keep their skills sharp, try new positions, and familiarize themselves with new league rules. It is particularly beneficial for rising 9-year-old players expecting to play at the AA level in the spring, as it provides them with an excellent opportunity to be exposed to their first year of kid pitch before the spring
season.
Season Dates
The fall baseball season begins on August 13, 2022, with practices. Games will start the weekend of August 20th and end with the Patrick Rosa Memorial Tournament on October 22, 2022. The following weekends will not have events: September 3-4 (Labor Day Weekend) and October 8-9 (Dekalb County Schools District Fall Break).
League Age
League assignment is based on each player’s age as of April 30, 2023. Leagues are formed for players of league ages 5 through 12. Players will be placed in the league where their birthdate falls, with no exceptions to play in a different age league.

Murphey Candler Baseball Withdrawal and Refund Policy - Revised 11/19/2019
All requests for a refund must be received by MCB. MCB is not responsible for lost or misdirected USPS mail, email, or other forms of mailing. No verbal withdrawals from MCB will be accepted. Refunds for Voluntary Withdrawal and Involuntary Withdrawal (if approved) are issued within two weeks of notice of withdrawal.
- Voluntary Withdrawal: If you choose to withdraw your player(s), requests must be received by MCB no later than two days before the start of the season for that league. Withdrawal requests should be emailed to [email protected]. A $25 administrative fee will be deducted for EACH CHILD withdrawn. If you register AFTER the Voluntary Withdrawal period has ended, your registration will not be refunded should you choose to withdraw.
- Involuntary Withdrawal: If, after the voluntary withdrawal deadline but before the scheduled conclusion of half of the regular season games of the applicable league, a child becomes unable to participate and must be withdrawn due to injury, illness or relocation a partial refund may be requested via email ([email protected]). The request will be reviewed, and if approved, 50% of the registration fee minus a $25 administrative fee will be refunded.
- Waitlist Withdrawal: If you choose to withdraw your player(s) that have been waitlisted, requests must be received by MCB before we have placed your player(s) on a team. Withdrawal requests should be emailed to [email protected]. A full refund will be issued; however, if we place your player(s) on a team and you choose not to accept, you will be issued 50% of the registration fee minus a $25 administrative fee.
