Fall Baseball at Murphey Candler is a weekend activity, with all events taking place at Murphey Candler Park. Teams will hold Saturday and Sunday practices in August, and then proceed with games only on both Saturdays and Sundays. The practice and game times will vary from week to week. The fall program is a great chance for players to keep their skills sharp, try new positions, and familiarize themselves with new league rules without the pressure of league standings and championships. It is particularly beneficial for rising nine year old players expecting to play at the AA level in the spring, as it provides them with a great opportunity to be exposed to their first year of ‘kid pitch’, prior to the upcoming spring season.
Rookie, Frontier and Challenger leagues are not active in the fall.
Practices will start August 22nd, games start September 12th and the season is over at the end of October. The schedule typically includes 10 games ending with the Patrick Rosa Memorial Tournament.
League Age for Fall Baseball is based on each player’s age for the upcoming Spring Season (your player’s age as of April 30, 2021). Leagues are formed for players of league ages 5 through 12.
Because not all parks in our District maintain a Fall Baseball program, it is common for players outside our boundaries to participate in Fall Baseball at Murphey Candler.
