Fall Baseball at Murphey Candler is a weekend activity, with all events taking place at Murphey Candler Park. Teams practice on Saturdays and play games on Sunday afternoons. The fall program is a great chance for players to keep their skills sharp, try new positions, and familiarize themselves with new League rules without the pressure of League Standings and championships. It is particularly beneficial for rising nine year old players expecting to play at the AA level in the spring, as it provides them with a great opportunity to be exposed to their first year of 'kid pitch', prior to the upcoming spring season.

Practices will start in mid August, games start in late August and the season is over at the end of October. The schedule typically includes 9 or 10 games.

League Age for Fall Baseball is based on each player's age for the coming Spring Season (your player's age as of April 30, 2009). Leagues are formed for players of league ages 6 through 12. There is no T-Ball league in the fall program.

Mail in registration will be accepted through May 31, 2008. You may download the registration form from the website at www.murpheycandler.org. or, you can look for online registration to begin sometime in June. Registration forms will also be available at Murphey Candler Park on Family Day, May 10, 2008 between 10am and 4pm. Look for the registration tent by the flagpole behind the Major League Field.

Because not all parks in our District maintain a Fall Baseball program, it is common for players outside our boundaries to participate in Fall Baseball at Murphey Candler.
